Forum activists launch public campaigns to expose, embarrass and pressure Islamist-tainted politicians and corporations, and biased educational institutions, after friendly educational entreaties are refused.
San Francisco State University (SFSU)
Campus Watch's deep-digging revealed that the university has quietly planned and implemented an exchange program with An-Najah University in the West Bank town of Nablus. A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SFSU and An-Najah, procured via the California Public Records Act, confirms the nefarious relationship
An-Najah is known for terrorist recruitment and indoctrinating students with radical Islam. According to the Anti-Defamation League, Hamas has described An-Najah as a "greenhouse for martyrs." Students there even constructed a gruesome replica of the 2001 Sbarro pizzeria Jerusalem suicide bombing. (For details on An-Najah's ties to terrorism, please see Appendix B.)
The university's relationship with An-Najah – of all the universities in the Arab world – legitimizes Islamic radicalism and attacks against Israel.
Silence and Intransigence
Campus Watch has sent numerous emails and letters to SFSU President Leslie Wong, who signed the MOU, detailing An-Najah's ties to terrorism and asking him to end the relationship. President Wong has not responded.
Timothy White, chancellor of the California State University System (CSU) which has jurisdiction over SFSU, did respond to inquiries. He declared CSU's support for the MOU, citing "our robust protection of academic freedom and core values of tolerance, freedom, diversity and peace" – while ignoring incontrovertible evidence that An-Najah's values are antithetical to those of the CSU.
Please sign your name to this petition, demanding SFSU President Wong end the university's relationship with An-Najah.
Contact California State Officials
Please contact Gov. Jerry Brown and nine other California officials with jurisdiction over San Francisco State University (SFSU), calling on them to cancel the Memorandum of Understanding between it and An-Najah University in the West Bank.
California officials must end this noxious alliance so the university can focus on its mission of educating Californians and engaging in research.
